"Willy" (Sire: Rindert 406 Dam: Gradus
356) was born on March 6, 2007, the coldest day of the year with -30 degrees. Willy was imprinted at birth
and is a delight to work with, exhibiting the wonderful personality and disposition the Friesian is noted for. He trailers,
clips, baths, stands on cross ties and is good for the farrier and vet. If you are looking for a young gelding with correct conformation, good "come from
behind" movement and a winning attitude, look no further. Willy is out of our full papered mare, Eeldertsje, and by Rindert 406, a stallion in
Holland noted for passing on his movement. Willy's
coat is true black (even during summer months).
Willy was started using natural
horsemanship methods and learning the Parelli seven games. In 2010, Willy had sixty days of professional training at
Stonegate Stable, where he has been started under saddle and ridden on the trails and quiet dirt roads of Salisbury,
Vermont. Willy returned to Stonegate Stable in 2011 where he has continued his saddle training, with a focus on
dressage. Currently, Willy is solid in his walk/trot and has started his canter work. He has good forward
movement, has learned leg yielding and has a soft mouth. Willy has been successfully shown both locally and at
the NEFHC Belmed Dressage Show in July, 2011, where he earned a 58.75% in IntroB test, placing 4th out of 8 in his class.
Willy is safe enough for a child to ride, but has the athletic
talent and work ethic to please an advanced rider. Willy is presently offered for sale for $23,500. Make your dream of owning a Friesian come true by adding Willy
to your stable today!
