Douwe (Feike 395 Sport x Gradus 356) was born on April
15, 2009. He is full brother to Bente, our 2008 1e premie, champion colt. His sire, Feike 395 Sport, an exceptional
dressage horse, has now been approved on offspring and awarded the Sport predicate. Douwe was imprinted at
birth and is handled daily. He loves attention and grooming (including his baths!). Douwe ties, cross-ties, clips and
stands well for the vet and farrier. Douwe has been brought up using natural horsemanship methods. He is well
mannered and thinks dragging the blue tarp around and jumping barrels is loads of fun. During the 2011-12 winter months, Douwe
is spending time playing the Parelli 7 games and doing some light
lunge line work. He is learning his voice commands
and starting the basic yielding movements to enhance his future dressage career. Douwe also loves the horse trailer.
This gelding already stands a solid 15.3 hands at 2 years old!

Douwe was awarded 2e premie, with almost perfect scores
for conformation and type at the 2009 New England Keuring. In addition to his exceptionally beautiful face, Douwe exhibits
wonderful movement and suspension at all three gaits. This Friesian likes to canter and canters with natural balance.
